Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park

This is a big park as it covers 4,000 acres of land. If you want to see some nature up close, four species of endangered pitcher plants call this park home. Tarkiln Bayou is something you should see for yourself. Because of its size, you are bound to see many different wildlife species such as snapping turtles, alligators, and more.

Blackwater River State Park

If you want to get out on the water, please bring your canoe or kayak to Blackwater River State Park. This is a popular destination for fishing and swimming as well. Several hiking trails will allow you to see the natural beauty of the Panhandle.
