The free Pensacola Beach Trolley runs every summer evening from 4 p.m. to midnight, carrying riders past the boardwalk, two public beach parks and the gate of Fort Pickens without anyone circling for a parking spot.

Where The Free Pensacola Beach Trolley Goes
Three lines run each evening: a Core Route through the boardwalk and commercial strip, a West Route toward Fort Pickens, and an East Route toward Portofino Island Resort. Here's what's worth hopping off for each one.
Core Route: Casino Beach And The Boardwalk
Casino Beach and the Gulfside Pavilion: The 160-foot beach ball water tower marks the island's central beach and the trolley's main hub. The pavilion hosts free "Bands on the Beach" concerts on Tuesday evenings all summer.
Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier: A short walk from Casino Beach, the pier stretches out over the Gulf and draws anglers most evenings, plus anyone chasing a sunset.
Pensacola Beach Boardwalk: Shops, bars and restaurants line the water, and the calmer Quietwater Beach on the sound side gives families a break from Gulf waves.
West Route: Fort Pickens And Park West
Fort Pickens: Built in the 1830s and once the prison of Apache leader Geronimo, the fort anchors the western end of Gulf Islands National Seashore with hiking trails, a bike path and a campground. The seashore charges an entrance fee, and Fort Pickens sits beyond the trolley's last stop, so plan to walk, bike or drive the final stretch.
Park West: This free Gulf-front park has restrooms, showers and picnic pavilions, plus one of the island's two leashed dog beaches.
East Route: Portofino Island Resort And Park East
Beach Club Resort and Spa: A half-mile from the pier and boardwalk, Beach Club has an indoor and outdoor pool, a fitness center and the Aqua Spa.
Park East: A quieter Gulf-front lot with an offshore snorkeling reef and the island's second dog beach, about a mile past Portofino.
